I use an electronic/on-line grade calculation software (Grade Keeper) that was introduced to us through the very useful class Instructional Technologies. It is also available for students and parents to see on-line. It is easier to keep the parents informed of the progress of their children. I can always email a parent through the same software. I used to have a real hard time communicate with parents, but now it as easy as a simple click!
